There’s a school of thought that suggests that the reason creative types are so known for being mad, drunk or junkies is because in some metaphysical way the crazy, the alcohol and the drugs are being translated into brilliance. People being what they are, it’s not terribly surprising that someone wondered if you could make that go the other way.
